This is my entry for "Mosaic Monday" - go by Mary's place and check out all the other fun mosaics.
Woke up this morning to 'magic' - cold 'magic'! Fog set in during the night and coated all the trees - probably one of my favorite times in the winter. Fog has always kind of depressed me - giving me a feeling of claustrophobia while growing up in California - but here in Idaho, it has it's rewards! This morning I shot the top photos and those running down the side of the mosaic, except the bottom right hand corner, the two evergreen shots were this evening when the sun was setting. Our high today was a staggering 24 degrees at 4 p.m - no wonder it was cold at church today!
We had an eventful week leading up to Thanksgiving - not just because of Thanksgiving but everything that was mixed up with it! First we had Kandee who 'tweaked' her back and went in for surgery (out of commission for 10 days+). Our family and church provided meals for the family for almost a week! We went in and helped with cleaning too - amazing what a crew of four can get done in a few hours. It was SWEET!
Brian had a horrible attack of something during the midnight hours and was rushed to the hospital for evaluation. The ER doc thought it was appendicitis but after a blessing, it was gone - the doc later admitted he had never misdiagnosed a case in all the years he practiced medicine! Brian was sore and not feeling 100% for many days - but is doing much better now.
We had a laid-back Thanksgiving - traveling 'over the river and through the woods' (literally) to Heather and Brian's abode. For the first time in years and years and years, Whit, Schuy and Bodin were with us during this festive time.
NOPE, I did not participate in the day-after-Thanksgiving consumerism that's so well-known in the United States. If anyone knows me, they know I head in the opposite direction than the stores. That is literally my worst nightmare. I think it stems from when I was young and went with my mother to LA to shop some sales and witnessed first hand the trauma of grown adults wrestling over merchandise to the point of hitting each other! Yep, no kidding - they really did and worse! I think I experience 'post traumatic stress' when I see news clips on TV of people running into stores at midnight! HONEY, NOT FOR ME! I'm actually getting worse as I get older! (the following was in no-way intended to offended any of you in blog land who do participate in such fore-mentioned activity!)

Lovely photos and mosaic. The snow and all the trees look wonderful.
What a BEAUTIFUL blog you have! That photo in your header is amazing to this Southern California beach gal who has never seen anything like it before and the delicate photos in your mosaic make me shiver ... seriously! Sending healing thoughts and prayers to Kandee and am relieved your son is okay too.
Hugs and blessings,

Wow, gorgeous! How long do you have snow on the ground? I'm not sure I could take a couple of months of snow... :) Thanks so much for sharing your lovely images, Berta. :)
BRRRH! ...but Beautiful...that pine is lovely with the ice frosting.
Lovely mosaic photos and they all came together so nicely. Really makes me want to say 'brrrr' since winter is just around the corner for us.
