"Old Dude II" is a little find on our way home from Reno. There is a short-cut that takes you through a beautiful valley with few inhabitants! We saw this old house on the side of the road that defied gravity - leaning so far, one would think breathing on it would cause it to crumble - yet it stands and majestically so!
I can only imagine the early settlers that built this homestead and worked the land. I'm sure their posterity allows this structure to stand as a monument to their courage to live in such a place. You can see that they completely farm all the way around it and must feel close to their ancestors as they plow and cultivate the fields. I couldn't help but think, as we zoomed by in our very comfortable, air-conditioned car, what they were like.
