happy flower, happy day

This HAPPY FACE greeted me today in my front yard! I couldn't resist - it just made me feel alive and happy for the warm, gentle wind blowing.

It was a FUN day because Heather, Cooper, Kandee, Grandma and I headed south to spend a little time with Whitney. Her baby (my 15th grandbaby) is due in four weeks (give or take). Whit asked if I could be there to take photos of the labor/delivery! I said, "Yes!" I have some cool things in mind. More on that later.

We had a fun ride down (1 hour away) - talked and caught up on a lot of stuff going on. Once we got there, we put on a mini-shower for the expectant mother. We started with LUNCH at Chili's then did a little baby shopping as Whit got rid of most of her baby-stuff - thinking she wouldn't be having any more children!!! Isn't that the way it always works?

Heather took these adorable photos as I left my camera at home - that's a post for tomorrow! Right now, I'm in mourning over loosing a very, very, very expensive lens at our last photo shoot! I couldn't even take my camera today because I was in a state of depression over loosing said lens! BUT, as for today - we had a GREAT TIME TOGETHER!

The CUTEST COUSINS having FUN together! Aren't they about the cutest?
