Left photo: I took this photo out in our front yard when all the trees were blooming. The sparkly/blurry-stuff on the left hand side is BOKEH yet you can see the blossom I was focusing on. The sparkly/blurry-stuff on the left is the sunlight shining through the leaves. The lens I used to get this effect was an 50mm f/1.8 and the ISO was 200 & I spot metered the branch on the right! Here's another example of BOKEH taken on my kitchen sink with Christmas lights in the background.
When I first started taking photos, that was one of the first things I wanted to learn - fun!

Right photo: Corey's photo is b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. in every way - color, BOKEH, shape and texture!!! So soft and so pretty! She certainly researched the subject and explains it so well on her blog. I love the greens in her photo and just a touch of purple in the background - love, love, love! Always fun to see what she comes up with.

Beautiful photo of the blossoms.
At 65, I've done it! My poetry book - Life's Journey by Carmen Henesy - is out on Amazon!
( Poems about the things that have been important to me in my journey through life, some humorous, some sad, some that may have meaning to you as well )

Nice job! A technique I have not mastered.

Berta and Corey - again you did an amazing "job" - although I first had to check out about BOKEH - never in my life heard about that. But Corey explained it a little so I am "on board".
I love your photo - its B.R.I.L.L.I.A.N.T. - the blossoms sooo clear and the background "blurred"..... just perfect....
Have a great week
cheers
