random journaling and photos

In my opinion, it's MUCH easier to take off (1) pound of fat than (50) AND it's much easier to journal daily than weekly! That being said, why on earth don't I do things the easy way - so much harder trying to play catch-up all the time.

I've been in the office doing my monthly chore, no - thrill of my life - invoicing for guitar lessons. You know, I'm so happy to be working considering so many people are out of work these days. I don't even need to try - people call all the time for lessons. My advertising budget is zero - after so many years it's word of mouth these days!!! I spend zero on gas to go to work, zero on clothes (it shows!), zero on a studio - I totally like the word zero when it comes to working - haha - saves a lot of money.

Took a ride up to Heather and Brian's Saturday to visit and take the kiddos out for ice cream - oh yum! They have an ice cream store in their little town that had the most amazing ice cream. I love visiting their 'little corner of the world' - so peaceful and the scenery is breath-taking. However, when we left we drove home in a blizzard! BLIZZARD!

(my favorite little baskets from Ikea - the 'heaven on earth' home interior store - I could live there, no - literally!)

have to love ikea

Our dormant world is starting to come to life and I guess there's nothing better than rain and snow mixed to livin' things up! It's still pretty-darn-cold around here - freezing at night but, Fred warns us about that every year! Fred is our neighborhood 'master-gardener' - "don't plant anything before Memorial Day" he would said. And, every year, he's right - always!

Our squirrels are eating all the blossoms off the trees - maybe I should take them some bread and maybe they'd leave our poor trees alone! I'm beginning to feel the 'itch' to do some trapping!!!

she's back

Caught this view at sunset - a storm came rumbling through our little town and a little window opened up to see the beautiful blue sky - I named the photo: "Heaven's Window".

Hi Berta,

We need to quit worrying so much about weight. How do we do that???If people can't see you for the beautiful person... that I know that you are....so be it.
I worry every day, just as you do, and it wears up out! Honestly....I think it's turns women grey. We are never happy with ourselves. It's a full time job!

I love squirrels but I always have one little devil that buries his acorns in my planters in the fall and then after I put in new flowers in the spring, he comes a calling and makes a MESS of the new dirt and plants. Every year! Maybe I can catch him {her?} at it this year to share on my blog : ) I know what you are saying about the writing. I made the decision a few months ago to get up at 5AM every day to write .... something .... anything! JUST DO IT, like Nike.
I'm looking forward from more musings from you! xx P&H

We have squirrels here too and last year in summer when I took a nap in my garden one of these sassy squirrel sat in the tree above and pelt me with haselnuts from the tree. Funny? I have to say painful...
Took me 3 mins to check who's the culprit :)
