This week Corey and I choose the theme, "Side by Side" for our diptych! NOTE: Isn't that the funniest word - never heard it before Corey and I started working together!
COREY'S PHOTO (right):
I bet you would have never picked hers out with Sugar Bear front and center - gotta LOVE her boots! For those of you who follow Corey can recognize Sugar Bear immediately. My heart melted a little when I saw this photo as it reminded me of my faithful companion years ago named Lela - she was my son's black lab, who "I" raised and loved deeply ! ! ! ! Sound familiar parents? I know the bond that Sugar Bear has probably formed with this beautiful friend of hers - very strong - I do spot a little twinkle in both their eyes! Beautifully captured, Corey!

Corey has been so patient with me - I have a tendency to shoot a lot in landscape mode - I just figure I can get so much more into my photo and she shoots primarily in portrait - sometimes makes it hard to fit them together. I originally had in mind to shoot 'objects' and found out Corey was going to do the same. I have this wonderful salt and pepper shaker I was going to shoot but then changed my mind (no not me!) at the last second - sound familiar, like possibly last week ! ! ! Anyway, in my shot I captured my two granddaughters. Little Aspen shadows her big sister everywhere and you can generally see them both hand in hand. I think I will eventually frame this one and hang it in my office - it melts my heart every time I look at it!
If you have a chance, go over to Megan's and HipMama's and check out all the fun from the other teams!

Love the black and white and the little flowers in her piggy tails. So sweet.

This might be one of my faves of our diptychs. :)
Once again ...sooooooo good.
I really like how you composed your shot, coming in close like that really adds emphasizes something so sweet. Nice shot! And the pair is doubly sweet. Nice dip, team.
Love these shots today!
You definitely must frame this of your granddaughters--it's beautiful!
love that you both ended up choosing such tender scenes for your theme. they pair up so well together!
Definitely one to frame and keep forever....
This is a wonderful diptych. I love the contrast of b&w and color too. Truly childhood side-by-side moments. Wonderful!
both pictures melted my heart - and the theme also. I think nothing could fit more than these two shots - side by side and trustful. you really feel the trust in both pictures.
again and - as always - great shots - just perfect.
And btw thanks Berta for your comments - think Marcelle and I have now found a weekly challenge...
GORGEOUS. I WANT to take photos like YOU do!!! I'm shopping around for an on-line photo class to help me learn how to use my new dslr. Right now it's all about taking a ton of shots and getting lucky. If you know of any and could point me in the right direction, I'd LOVE to hear from you!
