happy bday little henry & thank you, mr. assistant

See this adorable, adorable creature? This is Henry and he's my grandson. It was his 'birfday' yesterday - and he's (1) year old! We missed the celebration (funny how they can totally go on without you, isn't it!) but I robbed these photos from his mom's blog! He's gorgeous with a personality to match - I miss being around this family!

He and his little cousin, Fiona (love that name), were born 16 hours apart (their moms are sisters) and almost were born on the same day! I'm lovin' the outfits and those precious faces! So, a HUGE birthday wish and song go out to the both of them.

These are a few photos taken at the gardens last week. Bob is the best assistant ever - he's so patient as we walk around and take photos together. He has a very good eye for photography and is always pointing out things he thinks would make a good photo! It's fun to go together and just hang out. This particular day, I was being pretty bossy - telling him to stand he, stand there and he was so cute following directions.


I'm going to miss these gorgeous flowers and colors in a month from today when winter moves in with a vengeance. For those who have never been to the college gardens, there are acres and acres of manicured flower beds, water falls and garden paths that twist and turn from one area to another - all well tended and virtually weedless!

I loved the thought inscribed on the walls of this little garden 'house' - something to ponder - better yet, (MEMO TO SELF:) ponder and "DO IT"!!!!
