mosaic monday / easy-breezy-summer

Mosaic Monday - Easy, Breezy Summer

Drop by Mary's place for some beautiful mosaics from the world over.

I hesitate to even say this but, we've had a pretty 'easy-breezy-summer' - not the intense heat they're experiencing back east and in the southwest but just breezy and pleasant - the kind you dream about. The kind of summer when you climb into bed a gentle breeze washes over you and lulls you to sleep! Sometimes I feel guilty being so spoiled when others are suffering - but then there are the winters here that are so intense while others are slacking in comfortable temperatures! The mosaic I posted reflects what I'm talking about.

"Thank you" blogging friends and family who have asked how my back is doing! Well, interestingly enough, the pain left just about as fast as it came! That being said and being the 'doctor' that I am, I have diagnose it as a viral infection that attacked my back! Start to finish it lasted approximately eight days - and eight days of sheer torture - really, and I'm not exaggerating! There were no torn or pulled muscles - no structural reason for hurting. About 4-5 days prior I came down with a fever (late at night/for no reason), chills and shakes and by morning the fever broke! Then, five days later it attacked and I was in the recliner in sheer pain! Unreal BUT, guess what? IT'S OVER and on with life I go!!! Has that EVER happened to anyone? Trials like that ALWAYS give you a good-swift kick in the rear and makes you appreciate your health while you have it. (now you know)

That sounds like
an absolute
nightmare!!!

make my heart
sing and absolutely

PS: NO, thankfully
I've never experienced
back pain like that.
I did have back pain
as a result of a car
accident, but it was
different and lasted
years and years. I
wonder if yours could
have been Shingles?
That is caused by the
same virus as chicken-
pox and is supposed to
be excruciating :( !

Back pain is no fun. Thank goodness for a good recliner. My problem is structural and then my recliner is where I go with a heating pad.

I envy you a lovely summer. It is sweltering here. Our chewing gum melted in the car!

That stump in your mosaic is teriffic!

/We having the kind of summer I love, a South African summer, high high temps ~ but think its over as a lot cooler this week...

So glad to hear you back is feeling better...horrible to have pain in one's body ~ I dislike any kind of pain. Whenever I get this pain in my feet I think it has to be the MS playing up...thankfully never lasts for long either.

Glad that you're feeling a lot better again, Berta.
Thankfully I havent had any of those back pain yet. But isn't it funny - once you have those pains THEN you know how good it feels to wake up with NO pain. For us its sooo normal to feel good and have no pain - sometimes I think we should be a little more thankfull for this.
talk soon

So glad to hear your pain is gone. I've had back pain from time to time over the years... never a viral thing, always a pinched nerve or just not stretching my back enough and it goes kaput on me.
